New! Interactive Accounting Salary Dashboards

Aug 07, 2025
Connect

I’m excited to share a new resource I’ve built: MyAccountingSalary.com.

This accounting salary dashboard visualizes real-world salary data across accounting roles, industries, and locations.  And it's designed to help professionals and students better understand compensation trends in our field.

  • Explore salaries by title (like Forensic Accountant or Audit Associate)
  • Filter by location and industry group
  • Compare public accounting vs industry roles

This data comes from several sources including BLS jobs data and employee cost data, which I then interpret across several factors.  I plan to enrich the data even more, using the same diagnostic and predictive analytics that I teach at the university.

There are many great salary resources out there, like the Robert Half Salary Guide and Big4transparency.com (and others).  I love those resources, and I'm adding to them by focusing on a broader set of job titles across industry groups and locations.

I'm also including information about education, licensure, and specialization for jobs so that the information can help plan a career path.  As an adjunct professor, I have a lot of conversations with students who don't yet know how to plan their careers.  I hope this resource helps.

I’d love your feedback as I continue building this out.  I have a lot of ideas for how to make this better, but I'm most interested in hearing from you.  Do you have a recommendation for a job title to add?  A question about the salary data?  Just reply to this message or use the feedback button on the site.

👉 Check it out the Accounting Salary Dashboard

Thanks for your support — and feel free to share it with colleagues or students who might benefit.

And if you're a student feeling anxious about public accounting, check out the 2025 Public Accounting Survival Guide at the link below.
